Corporate Digital Marketing Director

Position Profile

The Corporate Digital Marketing Director will be responsible for correctly positioning Stern’s Speaker and PR services agencies for growth. They will be fluent in digital marketing strategies, tools and emerging technologies, correctly leveraging them so that Stern Strategy Group is top of mind among potential clients and customers and job seekers. They are responsible for making budget recommendations and carefully managing the digital marketing budget to maximize ROI. The person in this role must have a superior knowledge of all digital marketing platforms including social media, website tools and analytics and lead generation.

Primary Responsibilities

    • Be the digital marketing strategy leader and subject expert relative to Stern’s marketing program and organizational goals
    • Create project recommendations that drive overall digital strategy goals; make recommendations for larger annual programming strategies; manage any campaign projects and provide guidance on overall marketing strategy in collaboration with senior leadership
    • Support individual and team results against deliverables and performance review plans; ensure quality work from team to meet/exceed expectations
    • Build relationships within the organization through thoughtful and strategic counsel and regular communication
    • Correctly position Stern to maximize potential business opportunities from marketing activities and employer-of-choice digital recruitment
    • Innovate new ideas, spot trends, and identify high-value digital opportunities to ensure Stern’s marketing program success
    • Optimize Stern’s use of its CRM platform for overall strategy and individual use across sales and marketing and recruitment
    • Successfully executive SEO strategies to drive relevant website traffic
    • Instruct staff in the areas of developing or writing and editing marketing content as appropriate
    • Develop, control and manage project budgets
    • Strategic oversight and updates of Stern’s digital platforms (website, blog, social channels, email streams and third-party platforms) and technologies (e.g., HubSpot, MailChimp, Google Analytics)

 

  • Agency Marketing and Sales
    • Support marketing strategy, campaigns and content (downloadable content, blogs, email and social) with the goal of strengthening relationships with existing clients and creating new business opportunities among potential customers
    • Create and foster a relationship between marketing and sales (both Speakers and PR) in order to support sales enablement and effectiveness
    • Ensure marketing/sales efforts are measurable and tied to bottom-line business growth goals in across the agency

     

  • Growth Strategies
    • Drive and develop Stern’s digital capabilities with the goal of driving revenue opportunities and agency growth, including recruitment (e.g., employer brand) and lead generation
    • Form pivotal partnerships with third-party vendors in key areas (e.g., website development, video, etc.) so that program goals are achievable with minimal delay
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for experimentation with new tools/technology and methods

     

 

  • Management
    • Regularly participate in meetings and actively collaborate with senior leadership team
    • Direct oversight of marketing team, including goal setting, prioritization, professional development, feedback and guidance
    • Supervise the marketing team and other agency specialists and communicate regularly with senior leadership
    • Identify resources and training materials to educate marketing team for maximum effectiveness

     

 

IT

    • Provide ad-hoc IT insight, guidance and support on digital marketing platforms (e.g., assist with new technology research, strategy, rollout and crisis management, Hubspot or other CRM)
    • Participate in IT strategy meetings and other ad-hoc discussions relative to marketing technologies, including Stern’s website

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing or related field; Masters degree in related field a plus.
  • At least five (5) years of hands-on digital marketing experience with brand elevation, lead generation, website traffic growth, content marketing and SEO strategy.
